Content Body

In response to concerns expressed by operators and the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA), Toronto Airport officials have accelerated the runway rehabilitation schedule and some aspects of the restrictive business aircraft slot program at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The project is now scheduled for completion on or about May 16. Under the original schedule, an additional construction period was planned for October and November.

The CBAA will continue to work with Toronto Airport officials and Nav Canada to address continued concerns related to the slot process for departure and arrival, said the association. “In addition, we will focus our efforts on the viability of a slot program remaining in place for business aviation operations at Toronto Pearson beyond May 16.”

According to the revised bulletin from the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, Runway 05/23 centerline lights and CAT III operations will be unavailable for a temporary period. Expect nightly runway closures until the lights are restored. Also, Taxiway H will not be available until its surface is fully cured.
