BizjetMobile (Booth M115) announced that City Jet is the second fleet operator in North America to opt for its Chiimp Smart Iridium satcom. The airborne connectivity system combines Bluetooth Smart technology and Iridium to supply pilots and passengers with voice, text, email,is and tracking services while in the air. “We are excited about the airborne access that BizjetMobile offers with such a cost-conscious entry into text messaging and email," said City Jet CEO Ron Mays. "After looking at different options that were $100,000 and over, we decided that BizjetMobile was the best solution. We are looking forward to installing Chiimp Smart in all our aircraft.”

Before City Jet’s commitment, BizjetMobile installed Chiimp Smart in Emergency Airlift’s fleets in Europe and North America last year. The company is currently offering Chiimp Smart to customers as an all-in-one package that includes the system and 12 months of free texting, Bizjet Mobile's GetMail email service along with 500 minutes of voice. The normal service fee is $599 per month.

“City Jet coming onboard affirms our belief that charter operators are looking to provide simple inflight connectivity for passengers and crew without breaking the bank,” said Ally McDougle, BizjetMobile's sales director.
