Harrods Aviation has earned EASA base maintenance approval for the Bombardier Challenger 300 series at its London Luton facility. The location has accumulated extensive experience on the type, having held line maintenance approval on the supermidsize jet for more than a decade.

In response to the new certification, the company, which offers FBO and maintenance services at London Luton and Stansted airports, has invested in additional tooling, equipment and staff training to ensure the quality of its support.

“Our staff at the London Luton facility is very skilled on the Bombardier product and has vast experience on the Global Express, Challenger 604 and Challenger 605, and the Challenger 650 types,” said John Bool, Harrods’ technical director. “By adding the Challenger 300 series, we can now offer a comprehensive service on this series of aircraft within the Bombardier fleet."
