Aero Precision Holdings subsidiary DAC International announced has been granted approval from Transport Canada for its STC for installation of the Esterline CMA-6800 on the Sikorsky S76B/C. The electronic display system is intended to replace the Honeywell CRT displays original to the aircraft.
“The product provides many benefits as a form-fit function replacement for the Honeywell ED-800 product line,” said DAC president Francisco Hernandez. “We believe the CMA-6800 offers our customers a simple replacement solution for the aging ED-800s on many of the S-76 platforms. He added the new units will allow users to save substantial weight, thus reducing operation costs and further extending the life in their existing cockpits. The STC also encompasses the S76C+ and C++ models.
Texas-based DAC also holds an AML STC for CMA-6800 substitution on the Hawker 800/1000, Bombardier Challenger 601A/3R, Dash 8, Cessna Citation 650, Dassault Falcon 900, Fokker 50 and Gulfstream III.
