TRU Simulation + Training’s online ground school pilot training course for the Cessna Citation CJ4 has received FAA approval, the Textron company announced yesterday. This distance-learning option allows customers to complete the required aircraft systems portion of ground school for recurrent training at home, instead of having to sit through the classroom portion at one of TRU's training centers.
“The flexible ground school option shortens the amount of time required to be at our facility and prepares our customers to spend more of their valuable time right where they want to be—back in the air flying,” said TRU vice president of training centers David Smith.
TRU Simulation also offers online ground school for its King Air 350 and Cessna Citation CJ3 training programs and will soon add the option for the Citation M2, CJ3+ and Latitude/Sovereign+ training programs, which are located at the TRU ProFlight Pilot Training Center in Tampa. Citation CJ4 pilot training was launched in November 2016 at TRU’s training center in Carlsbad, California. The Carlsbad facility also provides pilot training for the Cessna Citation CJ3 and Conquest I/II.
