Content Body

The FAA has granted an supplemental type certificate (STC) to Aero Precision Holdings subsidiary DAC International for a dual-localizer LPV converter for the Cessna 525 CitationJet, including the 525, 525A and 525B models.

Produced by Germany-based Avionik Straubing, the VNAV converter was developed for all Citations, which are equipped either with the legacy Honeywell SPZ5000 avionics or with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21. These systems cannot display glideslope information on the electronic flight instrument system and are therefore unable to make LPV approaches. EASA has granted an STC for the same process.

The converter retails for approximately $26,000.
