European maintenance provider Ruag Aviation recently completed simultaneous 15-month and 30-month inspections on a Gulfstream G550 at its Munich, Germany, facility. The contract from Sky-Tech Maintenance Service also included full painting of the aircraft with new livery and line maintenance on the twinjet’s Rolls-Royce BR710 turbofans during the five-week downtime.
“The full selection of one-stop-shop solutions available at Ruag allowed us to cater to our Gulfstream G550 customer’s individual needs,” noted Victor Soria Sainz, Sky-Tech’s manager. “Over the years, on previous aircraft projects, Ruag has consistently proven to be a reliable partner for heavy maintenance events and on-schedule aircraft availability.”
Ruag holds EASA and FAA Part 145 approvals and Part 21G and 21J design organization authority. Its services include line, base and heavy maintenance, AOG and component services, C-checks, modifications, cockpit and avionics reconfigurations, cabin refurbishments, painting and aircraft sales.
