Air BP has expanded its global fuel supply network to Iceland. Its presence at Reykjavik-Keflavik International Airport (KEF) marks the company’s first location in the Nordic country.

“We are pleased to be in Iceland, serving the needs of our business and commercial aviation customers who are increasingly traveling here,” noted Thorbjorn Larsson, Air BP’s general manager for the region. “As the country’s main international hub, and Europe’s fastest-growing major airport, Reykjavik-Keflavik is an exciting addition to our growing network in the Nordics.”

Following its purchase of Statoil Fuel and Retail Aviation in 2014, Air BP markets and sells fuel at more than 80 locations in the Nordic region. Located between Europe and North America, Iceland has become a booming travel and tourism destination, with nearly seven million passengers traveling through the airport in 2016, an increase of 40 percent from the previous year. Air BP will provide jet-A1 at KEF. The facility joins the company's 800-strong global Sterling Card network.
