Newly formed Alyssum Group has acquired aviation flight-planning, fuel, and concierge services company RocketRoute, the companies announced today. London-based Alyssum Group—a partnership announced last week between online charter broker Victor, BBA Aviation, BP Ventures and existing Victor shareholders—said the acquisition is “part of its long-term strategy to transform the entire private aviation industry.”
RocketRoute’s FlightPlan and MarketPlace platforms will be integrated into Alyssum’s connected digital marketplace “to seamlessly and transparently service all within private aviation.” This includes customers, charter brokers, operators, and suppliers, it said.
This latest move will also expand on Victor and RocketRoute’s strategic partnership announced in November, improving the efficiency of business operations for its suppliers via greater scale. MarketPlace lets pilots and dispatchers quickly source and connect directly with thousands of ground handlers and will be opened up to attract a wider range of ground service and FBO providers. FlightPlan will also be further developed.
Both RocketRoute and Victor have ongoing relationships with Air BP and have previously benefitted from strategic investments made by BP Ventures. These investments have supported Air BP’s goal of promoting efficiency and growth in general and business aviation.
