Switzerland-based Leocopter Air Services (Booth C3140) is working with the Vuichard Recovery Aviation Safety Foundation to provide both online and on-site Vuichard Helicopter Safety Seminars. The seminars include techniques developed by this year’s HAI Safety Award winner Claude Vuichard, who developed life-saving skills based on decades of experience in commercial aviation and many rescue missions in the Swiss Alps.
In addition, the company is also offering the Claude Vuichard High Altitude Training course for pilots in the Swiss Alps, which will offer modules on approaching and landing at official mountain sites, as well as emergency procedures at high altitude.
Leocopter also offers an online training program for all FAA-rated airplane and helicopter pilots to improve their radio communication skills in busy airspace. It features a senior air traffic controller who will act as a station of communication, monitoring performance, and provide feedback after each simulated flight.
