MROinsider recently signed an agreement with New Zealand’s FlightCert to create new options for operators to manage aircraft maintenance. Michigan-based MROinsider brings pilots, owners, operators, and MRO providers together to improve the customer experience. FlightCert offers services in the same field, so the partnership will serve to increase the quality of aircraft maintenance services.

Designed by aircraft engineers and launched in 2016, FlightCert is a cloud-based aircraft maintenance tracking program. It tracks components and inspections based on flight and calendar times, as well as cycles. The software costs approximately $400 a year, but rates decrease to about $70 per aircraft for a fleet exceeding 30 aircraft.

“While pursuing our goal of increased maintenance efficiency and transparency, we saw a special opportunity,” said Andy Nixon, MROinsider’s v-p. “FlightCert offers customizable maintenance tracking software that has a clean, user-friendly interface and an attractive price point. The companies share the goal of providing greater maintenance value through software. In many ways, it is a perfect partnership. As a team, we offer Part 91 and 135 operators a new service by first anticipating maintenance events [via FlightCert] and, second, obtaining timely, competitive quotes [via MROinsider].”

“FlightCert is looking forward to joining forces with MROinsider to provide cost-effective, intuitive maintenance tracking software tools,” said Jeff Shearer, FlightCert founder. “For a single aircraft or an entire fleet of corporate jets, FlightCert has the capability to manage all maintenance tracking requirements: inspection schedules, component lives, and out-of-phase maintenance. ADs and Service Bulletins are tracked and users notified by software flags and email.”

MROinsider launched in 2017 and has registered 200 aircraft and 35 maintenance providers.
