Aftermarket winglet manufacturer Tamarack Aerospace has approved three new European maintenance providers as authorized installers of its Atlas active winglets for the Cessna Citation series. Added to the roster are Signature TechnicAir in Bournemouth, UK; Atlas Air in Bremen, Germany; and Prince Aviation in Belgrade, Serbia.
“We’ve had many international customers fly their aircraft to our Sandpoint, Idaho factory for their Atlas installation, but our new international dealer network of CitationJet experts is so much more convenient and cost-effective,” said Brian Cox, who was just promoted from COO to company president. “These are facilities that can combine an active winglet upgrade with avionics or engine work, which saves aircraft downtime and travel cost, so this is a win-win for our European customers.”
The company also noted that it has received the latest approvals for the Atlas winglet from Brazil’s ANAC, meaning the upgrade is approved for installation on the Cessna CJ, CJ1, CJ1+, M2, CJ2, CJ2+, CJ3, and CJ3+ by the FAA, EASA, and Transport Canada, as well as ANAC.
“It’s exciting to now have complete international approvals on our entire product line,” said Cox. "This opens up the active winglet upgrade opportunity for our international CitationJet customers, and is also a significant milestone in growing our business and installation network outside the U.S.”
According to Tamarack (Hall 2, Stand 2186), its active winglets "can reduce time to climb and fuel burn, while increasing range and aircraft stability, without any structural reinforcement."
