Viking Air, which relaunched the turboprop utility Twin Otter in 2007 and owns the type certificates for the legacy de Havilland fleet as well as the Canadair family of water fire bombers, has signed a memorandum of understanding with California-based Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) to digitally convert and distribute all technical publications for its entire line.
ATP’s digital technical publication services will enable operators of those aircraft—the DHC-1-through DHC-7 and the CL-215, CL215T and CL-415—to gain web-based access to vital publications and tablet-based flight and operation manuals, in addition to the continued publication of paper documents.
“The increased delivery response rates, simplified business process, and improved document management derived from digital publications will streamline services and reduce management efforts,” explained Gregory Davis, the Canadian airframer’s vice president of customer service and product support. “This initiative is another major step in honoring our commitment to providing world-class support to our customers.”
