California-based aircraft charter and management provider Sun Air Jets has secured its presence at Los Angeles-area business aviation hub Van Nuys Airport, extending its hangar agreement with the Aeroplex/Aerolease Group through 2030. Under the deal, Sun Air will continue to occupy a pair of 21,000-sq-ft hangars with attached office and shop space.
“This is a win-win deal for both companies,” said Aeroplex/Aerolease president and CEO Curt Castagna. “By continuing the longstanding relationship between us, each entity gains a measure of security and cost certainty in an industry that doesn’t usually provide either.”
“By signing this agreement with Aeroplex/Aerolease, we ensure adequate space for our managed aircraft customers in the most desirable location in Southern California for the foreseeable future,” noted Sun Air president and COO Brian Counsil. “Additionally, we also get to do it in hangars that we know and are proud of, while working with a group of people who are not only good business people, but also good friends.”
