Training specialist Scott International Procedures (Scott IPC, Booth 2060) has completed developing a general aviation-focused training program for schedulers and dispatchers and will debut the course at the 30th annual NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference, which will be held January 29 to February 1 in San Antonio, Texas.

This new program is drawn from formal training topic modules from Scott’s Part 121 program, combined with elements specific to general aviation. The most recent step in developing the program was NBAA’s Professional Development Program and Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) course. The new effort represents an initiative to add to pilot training programs for which Scott IPC is known.

Separately, NBAA approved Scott IPC’s international-procedures training for the CAM certification program. The program includes worldwide initial IPC and recurrent IPC, as well as its North, Central, and South America programs. Credit for the classes comes from both in-class and online sessions. Company founders Shawn and Amy Scott said, “Hats off to the CAM governing board for offering such a diverse curriculum designed to grow aviation managers and flight department leaders.”

Finally, Scott IPC anticipates release of its ScottPLOT electronic plotting chart app, which “allows for full compliance with requirements and best practices in regard to the fundamentals of plotting chart usage,” according to the company. Real-time reminders and prompts help crews deal with lateral errors and unexpected events. Scott IPC’s International Cockpit Reference Handbook is integrated into the training.
