StandardAero signed at NBAA 2018 a new Honeywell TFE731 turbofan MRO services partnership with the UK’s Aerocare Aviation Services to support European business aviation operators. An established EASA Part 145 and Part-M MRO provider, Aerocare offers service through both its base operations in Chester and AOG rapid response team.

Marc Drobny, president of StandardAero Business Aviation (Booth 1995), called the new relationship “a win-win-win partnership,” noting it provides European operators with more service options, helps Aerocare support customers, and expands StandardAero’s global servicing base.

StandardAero also announced the recent induction of a Falcon 2000 for installation of the company’s first Innov8 Cabin Solutions Command and Cast cabin management system (CMS) upgrades, under way at the MRO’s Springfield, Illinois facility. The Innov8 Command and Cast CMS feature an LCD touchscreen and communication technology at an affordable price point, according to Arizona-based StandardAero.

The Command and Cast system controls cabin functions such as lighting, entertainment, environmental, water systems, and other galley elements. Cast operates an as extension of the main cabin entertainment system and enables video and audio entertainment delivered wirelessly to passengers’ carry-on devices and Innov8’s Smart VU Displays.

“We are seeing an increasing demand on discretionary cabin solutions, and we are developing the solutions that will meet the demand,” said Jerry Sanders, director of avionics programs and business development for StandardAero Business Aviation.

The Falcon installation is expected to be outfitted with the system in December. Jason Danforth, managing partner at Innov8 Cabin Solutions, said the installation is well suited to “a ripe platform like the Falcon 2000, where lower cost, minimal downtime, and modern technology equal a satisfied customer.”
