VVIP helicopter operator Luxaviation Helicopters and Icon Aviation, a Brazilian operator of business aircraft and helicopters, have formed a partnership that enables Luxaviation to use Icon’s 12 VIP facilities for its customers. These include locations at Sao Paulo Congonhas Airport. Icon was formed from the merger of CB Air and Global Aviation.

According to Luxaviation Helicopters CEO Charlotte Pedersen, “Establishing partnerships with local operators across the globe allows us to provide an international standard of VVIP service to our clients, combined with regional expertise.” The company said its partnership with Icon brings six helicopters and 19 jets “to our global fleet capacity.”

Décio Ricardo Galvao, Icon Aviation’s CEO, noted that the company is the official distributor of Leonardo Helicopters’ AW109 twin-engine trekker model in Brazil. “The partnership further diversifies the flight operations available to both our and Luxaviation’s customers, giving us access to [their] international helicopter network.”

Luxaviation (Booth 1908) itself manages more than 260 business aircraft around the world using 15 AOCs. Also, in collaboration with Paragon Aviation Group, Luxaviation lays claim to a network of 55 FBOs globally (27 are under the company’s ExecuJet subsidiary). On top of that, it has a network of 15 maintenance and service centers.
