Hong Kong and Beijing-based Sino Jet, which manages more than 40 business jets in Greater China and around the world, has become the first Chinese operator to be accredited as IS-BAO Level 3 by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). Sino Jet has operating bases in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Zhuhai, and Chengdu.

Level 3 registration is the highest achievable in what has been a five-year, performance-based assessment focusing on Sino Jet’s safety management system, implemented in 2013.

“Safety is at the core of everything we do at Sino Jet," said Jenny Lau, founder and president of Sino Jet. "The growth that we all expect and wish to see in China can only be achieved with a consistent application of best practices. We believe that this step forward supports not just Sino Jet’s objectives, but that it will also lead to an enhanced culture of safety for business aviation in China.”

Lau is also the current chairperson of the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), which will hold its annual awards on November 10 in Hong Kong with a James Bond 007 theme, “Diamonds in the Sky.” AIN has been nominated in the Best Media Outlet category for this year's awards.
