Global Jet Capital (GJC) has selected StandardAero as its preferred partner for clients who need to upgrade their aircraft to meet the upcoming ADS-B mandate, which will take place on Dec. 31, 2019. According to the FAA, aircraft that are not equipped after that date will not be permitted to operate in controlled U.S. airspace.

Under the agreement GJC’s customers will receive discounted pricing on ADS-B projects and even further savings if the installation is bundled with other maintenance or upgrades. According to GJC, the decision was based on the maintenance provider’s reputation and experience.

“StandardAero has completed over 500 ADS-B installations and has maintained thousands of aircraft,” said GJC managing director Jim Noonan. “With U.S. sites in Augusta, Georgia; Springfield, Illinois; and Houston, Texas; it offers great convenience for U.S.-based clients.”

“Backlog is strong, and our MRO sites and schedules are filling up quickly,” said Brian Campbell, the company’s vice president for global sales and marketing, “but Global Jet Capital clients who need their aircraft to be ADS-B compliant can now rest assured that priority scheduling with StandardAero will ensure they meet the mandate deadline.”
