Up-and-coming aviation services provider Lynx FBO Network has expanded its footprint again, acquiring the Voyager Jet Center at Pittsburgh Allegheny County Airport (AGC). Located eight miles from downtown, AGC is the primary general aviation reliever field for Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT).
The facility, which shares the general aviation handling at the airport with another FBO, opened in 2015 and includes an 8,500-sq-ft terminal with a large pilot lounge, conference room, and flight-planning center, in addition to a heated 18,000-sq-ft hangar that can accommodate aircraft as large as a Gulfstream G650. Voyager Jet will continue to operate its aircraft management, charter, sales, and maintenance operations out of the facility as a Lynx tenant.
“We believe the Pittsburgh market, and its rise as a global innovation city, is a perfect complement to our growing network of FBOs, and we look forward to working with the Allegheny County Airport Authority, Voyager Jet, and the local FBO team to deliver a best-in-class service offering for our customers in the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Lynx CFO Matt DeLellis.
The purchase, which is expected to close by the end of this month, marks the third FBO acquisition by the Sterling Group private equity-backed company this year, and its sixth overall since it made its debut in 2016.
