Norm Hill Aviation, a removed Gulfstream parts supplier, has donated 13 Rolls-Royce Spey engines to the College of Aeronautics at Hallmark University. These engines will provide real-world experience for students enrolled in the San Antonio, Texas-based school’s A&P degree program.

This dovetails with a donation to Hallmark earlier this year of a Gulfstream III, which is powered by Spey engines, to develop new curriculum and training programs for its A&P students. Gulfstream Aerospace also made certain technologies and equipment available for students to use during their training on the twinjet.

“The students were so excited, watching as the engines were unloaded off the trucks,” said Doretta Gutierrez, dean for the College of Aeronautics at Hallmark University. “We are working to develop projects and acquire stands and equipment for them to begin working on these engines. They are anxiously anticipating the day the projects on these engines will begin.”
