World Fuel Services has won five-year contracts with the UK’s London Oxford Airport and London Heliport to supply jet-A, avgas, and line service training. The company will also offer refueling equipment, maintenance support, and marketing support. The airport is the UK’s largest user of avgas in the country and the third-largest dedicated general aviation airport in the London area.

“The win of this competitive bid expands our supplied [airports] to 14 UK locations, including three of the top five,” said Noel Siggery, World Fuel’s director of GA and market development. “Our partnership with London Oxford and London Heliport will be an important addition to the World Fuel Network as we continue to bring solutions to our customers.”

Privately owned London Oxford Airport is also looking to increase its share of transatlantic business aviation traffic. Thus, the airport is offering 25 percent off landing fees through April to first-time users (pilots and flight departments) originating from North America.

“We are keen to encourage more transatlantic, mid- to large-cabin business aviation movement [up to Airbus ACJ/Boeing BBJ and Embraer Lineage E190 size] and now is an opportune time to try us out,” said James Dillon-Godfrey, the airport’s head of business development.
