Jet Aviation has appointed Jeremie Caillet as vice president for VIP completion programs, with the primary task of managing the completion of large VIP aircraft at the company's Basel, Switzerland facility.

According to Jet Aviation (Booth A531), he will also collaborate across all operational departments and matrixed global support functions to support Jet Aviation's OneJet program, for which he was appointed director in January 2017. The OneJet initiative was rolled out in 2017 as an effort to present a consistent customer experience across Jet Aviation’s entire portfolio around the world, from customer relations management to the look and feel of Jet Aviation FBOs.

Caillet told AIN that over the past three years, 50 percent of its completion projects came from Asia-based customers. However, there are no plans yet to set up an Asian completion facility. “The door is not closed, but it is not our focus now,” he said. “We want to strengthen our MRO capabilities in Singapore and completion in Basel.”

An engineer by training, Caillet holds a master’s degree in engineering from the Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile in Paris and an master of science degree in aircraft design from Linköping University in Sweden. He previously worked for Dassault Aviation before joining Jet Aviation in 2008.

Caillet is taking over from Neil Boyle, senior vice president of global completions, who is retiring at the end of May.
