Embraer's Phenom 300 has received a supplemental type certificate (STC) for Gogo Business Aviation’s Avance L5 inflight connectivity system. Avance L5 connects to Gogo’s 4G network, speeding connections and expanding Wi-Fi network capacity. The 4G network improves streaming video and audio, on-demand movies, personal smartphone use, and real-time in-flight data for cockpit apps. It also provides a simple pathway to upgrade to Gogo 5G service when it becomes available, scheduled for 2021.
The Phenom 300 is the fifth Embraer model to receive approval for the Avance L5 system, and the first to receive an in-service fleet STC. Other models include the Legacy 450 and 500, and the Praetor 500 and 600.
