Content Body

Duncan Aviation has entered the final phase of a sales and repair agreement with Honeywell Aerospace that was announced earlier this year. The agreement calls for the MRO provider to manage the sales, exchange, and repair services for specified Honeywell avionics content, flight controls, electronic flight control instruments, air data, and attitude heading reference units on legacy platforms found on business jets, turboprops, rotorcraft, and regional and commercial aircraft. The arrangement builds on Duncan’s credentials as a Honeywell-authorized service center and channel partner that now manages repair services for more than 2,000 part numbers on nearly 100 airplanes and rotorcraft.

The company added 1,000 sq ft of space to house 50 additional test sets and 12 avionics repair benches to support the additional Honeywell work. Eight technicians received factory training with more on-site training performed at Duncan’s avionics instruments repair facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Duncan is in the process of hiring 12 more avionics technicians and six sales and support staff, as well. In the initial phase of the agreement, Duncan also added additional sales and account reps to support sales of the new inventory.

“Our investment in the expansion of our component capabilities and product offerings is just the latest in a 50-plus-year relationship we have enjoyed with Honeywell," said Duncan v-p of component services and satellites Mark Cote. “It is exciting to add these products and capabilities to the long list of Honeywell components we support today.”
