Content Body

Jet Aviation has achieved Stage 2 registration under the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) for its two newest locations, bringing them in line with its previous nine U.S. facilities. The General Dynamics subsidiary acquired an FBO at Montana’s Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in mid-2020 and opened its new facility at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona just a few months later.

Launched in 2014, IS-BAH is a voluntary safety management system (SMS)-based program that is centered around industry best practices. Its implementation is verified by an independent third-party audit.

While the IS-BAH framework suggests a two-year interval between advancement in the IS-BAH structure, Terry Yeomans, director of the program at IBAC told AIN: “We do allow organizations to sit for Stage 2 assessment within the two years if they desire, they would be required to evidence a strong mature central SMS structure, which Jet Aviation has, across their network.”

Jet Aviation currently operates 30 IS-BAH registered FBOs around the world.

“Safety has been a top priority for us since launching operations just over a year ago,” said Tim Vallowe, general manager and director of Jet Aviation Scottsdale. “IS-BAH Stage 2 registration is a significant accomplishment as it shows our customers that we are committed to the highest standards in all that we do to ensure their experience is effortless at every touchpoint.”
