Content Body

Jupiter Avionics rolled out a new Eclipse digital audio system for aircraft that improves audio distribution and control. Unveiled this week at the Aircraft Electronics Association annual convention in New Orleans, the Eclipse digital audio package enables up to seven users to control multiple audio signals and have a choice of controller styles.

“Operators asked for more versatility for their communications systems and a digital platform,” explained Bryan Hart, Jupiter Avionics sales and marketing director, adding that Eclipse provides both.

Building on past designs, Eclipse includes a JACS-001 audio control, JDAC-002 digital audio control panel, and JCP-001 control panel. Incorporating Jupiter’s Windows-based ProCS software, the JACS-001 audio control supports either high or low impedance headsets and further allows 3D audio to be selected to augment prioritizing of radio traffic. The control panel comes standard with interfaces for loudspeakers, additional audio users, recording devices, music inputs, and messaging triggers.

Jupiter's JDAC-002 digital audio control panel can be used with either a daylight readable touchscreen or rotary controls. The LCD display provides for features such as individual ICS calling, recording and playback capabilities, system error messaging, and 3D audio selection. Meanwhile, the JCP2-001 control panel offers a traditional ergonomic layout and incorporates Flextext annunciator technology that can be customized.
