Marking a key milestone in the expansion of its global training network, CAE announced at NBAA-BACE 2022 the commencement of training on Gulfstream platforms at new U.S. locations in Las Vegas; and Savannah, Georgia; and in November at its center in Singapore.

“The expansion of our network is part of our commitment to be close to where our customers operate their aircraft, and to help meet the global requirement for pilots and maintenance technicians,” said Nick Leontidis, group president, Civil Aviation.

Leontidis noted that CAE estimates that business aviation will need 44,000 additional pilots and 66,000 maintenance technicians over the next 10 years.

Training in Las Vegas on CAE’s newly deployed Gulfstream G650 full-flight simulators (FFS) began this month and will ramp up with the addition of an FFS for the G550 in coming weeks, and FSSs for the Bombardier Global 7500; Embraer ERJ 145; and Phenom 300 by the end of this year; with a Gulfstream GIV FSS coming by next spring.

Canada-based CAE is building a new training center in Savannah, where it has begun training maintenance technicians for Gulfstream G650, G500, and G600 at Savannah Technical College. The new center, expected to open in mid-2023, will host four FSSs, including a Gulfstream FSS.

Next month, a G650 FFS will be deployed at the CAE Singapore training center.

CAE also provides business aviation training in locations including Dallas; Morristown, New Jersey; and Orlando; and internationally in Abu Dhabi, Dubai; London; Montreal; Sáo Paulo; and Shanghai.
