AeroBrigham, the North Texas-based aircraft MRO provider, is to expand with additional hangar facilities at Decatur Municipal Airport (KLUD), near Forth Worth.

“The new facility will be used exclusively to support helicopters while the current facility will be dedicated to fixed-wing MRO, support, and completions,” the company said.

In addition to 45,000 sq ft of new floor space, AeroBrigham will offer a sophisticated “down draft”-type aircraft paint facility capable of handling transport-category helicopters.

Specialized aircraft painting technicians will operate the paint facility "to complement the overall efficiency of aircraft refurbishment, reconfiguration, and completions,” the company said. “The new floor space will also allow continuing improvements for the support of both fixed- and rotary-wing customers at AeroBrigham.”

The MRO provider will be exhibiting at Heli-Expo (Booth C4224), where it will feature a newly completed Bell 407 that it recently delivered to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) in Florida.

The OCSO website said that today, it has three Bell 407 helicopters, a Bell 206L4 helicopter, and a Cessna T206H Stationair airplane in its inventory. “The mission of the Aviation Section continues to evolve with new technology and through needs assessments based on increased threats,” it said.
