Content Body

Online charter booking platform JetMembership is seeking to lure customers from rival private aviation membership or fractional ownership programs with a new Preferred Program offering. Clients enrolled with programs offered by competitors—including WheelsUp, NetJets, XO, VistaJet, Flexjet, and Sentient Jet—are being offered benefits such as having the $499 initiation fee waived and half-price membership rates for the first 12 months.

According to JetMembership, the benefits announced on Tuesday will yield total savings amounting to $2,293, or 56 percent off current membership rates under an offer that closes on December 31. The company’s normal membership rates run at $299 per month for the first 12 months.

The New York-based company says it is looking to challenge brand loyalty and encourage prospects to consider switching to its flight booking platform. Access to available aircraft is via JetMembership’s iOS and Android mobile applications.

According to the company, users do not have to deposit funds in advance for trips and instead pay as they take flights, which it says avoids putting their money at risk. JetMembership says its platform gives access to more than 5,000 aircraft and that customers are informed of each operator's standing with the Argus/U.S. audit service.
