Bristow’s Sikorsky S-92 medium-twin helicopters will receive enhanced support under a long-term agreement signed by both companies. Extending into the next decade, the agreement with Sikorsky covers support for Bristow’s more than 60 S-92s.
Included in the package is Sikorsky’s Total Assurance Program, which provides a known budget for aftermarket support and helps lower the risk of unplanned expenses. In addition to power-by-the-hour coverage, the package provides more than 90% of part replacement costs for the airframe, drive train, gearboxes, avionics, and consumable parts. It also provides access to Sikorsky’s forward stocking locations, field service representatives, and the Sikorsky360 customer portal for ordering parts, checking parts status, and accessing services, financial information, and aircraft data.
“Bristow is the largest operator of the S-92 globally,” said Stu Stavley, Bristow’s COO for offshore energy services. “This long-term support agreement will enable us to maintain our high level of service to our customers, while also controlling our operational costs and improving our overall efficiency.”
“This agreement reflects Sikorsky’s continued commitment to the commercial market and investment in the S-92 platform, which is well-positioned to support the increasing demands of deepwater operations,” Sikorsky said. Recent enhancements include the OEM's new S-92 Phase IV main gearbox with an auxiliary lubrication system and increased scheduled inspection intervals, as well as a one-time life extension for specific main gearbox housings.
