Dubai-based charter operator Falcon has become the first fleet operator in the Middle East to commit to Gogo’s Galileo HDX airborne connectivity system, announcing an initial purchase of five terminals for its Bombardier Global 5000 and Global Express aircraft at EBACE 2025.
Falcon, operating under the Alex Jet AOC and part of Alex Group Investment, selected the compact antenna system to enhance in-flight connectivity across its mixed fleet. “Our clients expect more than just connectivity; they want streaming-speed internet that travels with them. Galileo HDX lets us exceed expectations and offers a unique onboard experience that sets Falcon apart,” said Aziz Turan, executive director of Alex Jet.
Powered by the Eutelsat OneWeb satellite constellation, Galileo HDX delivers high-speed connectivity up to 60 Mbps when integrated with Gogo’s Avance system, which is designed for aircraft ranging from turboprops to executive airliners.
The Dubai operator will integrate the Gogo Galileo half-duplex electronically steered antenna and Avance SCS systems, providing passengers with calls, messaging, and high-speed internet worldwide. Additional features include Gogo Vision for entertainment, while flight crews gain access to real-time data and automatic system updates.
Gogo received FAA parts manufacturer approval for the Galileo HDX antenna in March 2025. The company is developing more than 40 supplemental type certificates for business jets this year, with Bombardier Global family STCs expected by year-end.
