The Spanish Business Aviation Association (SPBAA) has wrapped up the latest iteration of its Spanish Business Aviation Event (SBAE 2025), which it says “reaffirmed [the organization’s] position as Spain’s leading forum for discussion, collaboration, and strategic reflection” within the industry.
Organizers claimed that the third installment of the event saw record-high attendance, with more than 100 professionals gathering for networking, technical roundtables, and presentations. Major Spanish and European public aviation institutions in attendance included the Spanish aviation safety agency AESA, air navigation manager ENAIRE, and the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA).
The SPBAA outlined three strategic priorities for the coming years. These include strengthening co-operation with authorities and European partners, promoting sustainability and innovation, and “enhancing visibility of the economic and social value of business aviation in Spain."
SPBAA president Olivier Poncet reiterated his belief that “business aviation is not a luxury, but an economic enabler that directly contributes to Spain’s competitiveness and productivity.” Accordingly, he called for what SPBAA described as “proportionate and tailored regulation that recognizes the specific nature of the sector,” concluding: “Business aviation complements other modes of transport where time, urgency, or accessibility truly matter.”
