The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) has unveiled plans for the new format of the aircraft static display at the 2026 EBACE trade show. On Wednesday the group announced that an array of business aircraft will be presented in a new location at Geneva Airport, adjoining the PalExpo facility where the May 27-29 event will be held.
The new display area offers 40,000 square meters of space (430,566 square feet) and will accessible from both airside and landside. EBAA said what it called a “centralized” design will provide more of a 360-degree view of the aircraft than has been possible in the “linear” format of previous EBACE show static displays.
According to the group, the new layout will allow VIP guests to view aircraft without having to enter the static display via the convention center. It will also outdoor display exhibitors to provide hospitality for clients.
At the end of July, EBAA announced that the annual EBACE show will remain in Geneva next year, before being staged in other European cities in alternating years. The industry association, which until 2024 jointly ran the show with NBAA, has not yet said which other European locations are being considered, while indicating that it still views the Swiss city as the event’s base.
Premium, Private Environment
“EBACE26 marks a decisive step forward for the show. By relocating the static display to a dedicated site at Geneva Airport, we are giving exhibitors the freedom to build the kind of premium, private environment they need for their customers,” said EBAA’s CEO, Stefan Benz. The new layout will deliver the most secure perimeters ever implemented at an EBACE static display, with controlled entry points, clear zoning and improved visitor flow, reflecting everything exhibitors have told us they want.”
According to Benz, the new design for the static display signals EBAA’s ambitions to “redefine how European business aviation is showcased” by offering “a vibrant arena, drawing visitors into the heart of the action.” In December, the group will provide more specific exhibitor information and booking details for the new static display.
On November 19, EBAA announced the appointment of a new sales and management team for the EBACE show. This includes industry professsionals with experience of running events in the business aviation, defense and aerospace sectors.
Carla Spiljard is the new EBACE program director, and she is supported by Kerry Lamont as outdoor account lead and Helen Nagle, handling the indoor exhibits. Marleen Weide has been named as EBACE operations project manager and Dewi Hazes is a project manager, with existing EBAA manager Paul Walsh responsible for EBACE sales and membership services.
