EASA has granted approval to Dassault Aviation subsidiary ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia for line and base maintenance of the Falcon 7X at its MRO facility at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (WMSA) in Subang.
Both EASA and the FAA have approved ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia for non-destructive testing (NDT) capabilities. Under EASA regulations, the Subang facility can perform NDT using ultrasonic, eddy current, magnetic particle, and penetrant techniques. The FAA approvals add ultrasonic and penetrant NDT. These NDT capabilities help the company identify structural defects more efficiently, which helps reduce unscheduled downtime during maintenance activities, according to Ivan Lim, regional v-p for Asia at ExecuJet MRO Services.
“The base maintenance approval for Falcon 7X is significant as there are demands from European-registered Falcons based in Asia in addition to those that are passing through the region,” said Lim. “Having EASA certification, which is an international certification recognized by many other civil aviation regulators, demonstrates we meet stringent requirements imposed by the regulator.”
ExecuJet MRO Services locations include Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, and the Middle East, and the company offers airframe, avionics, and engine maintenance on Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, Gulfstream, Hawker, and other types.
