Six S-92 helicopter operators renewed multi-year Total Assurance Program (TAP) contracts with Sikorsky during 2025 and early 2026, covering approximately 100 aircraft through the early 2030s, the Lockheed Martin company announced on March 9.

Bristow, the largest S-92 operator, renewed its TAP agreement in April 2025 to support approximately 60 aircraft. Five additional operators, including Offshore Helicopter Services, have since renewed their contracts.

The power-by-the-hour service enables operators to fly at a known cost-per-hour basis and receive replacement parts when needed. TAP provides coverage for more than 90% of the cost of S-92 replacement parts, including airframe, drivetrain, gearbox, avionics, and consumable components.

“Multi-year coverage signals confidence in the reliability and endurance of the S-92 helicopter, and in our ability to deliver or stock aftermarket parts that help these aircraft fly consistently in the mid-90% availability rates, among the highest in the industry,” said Leon Silva, Sikorsky v-p of global commercial and military systems.

Of the 270 active S-92 helicopters globally, 155 are covered by TAP contracts. Nine S-92 operators, primarily in offshore energy and search-and-rescue sectors, receive TAP coverage in 2026. Sikorsky launched the program in 2004 with offshore energy operators Omni and PHI.
