Engine Assurance Program’s rapid response technicians are dispatched, to the greatest extent possible, with known needed parts in hand, getting operators back in the air more quickly.
Content Body

When EAP began 10 years ago, it covered several variants of the TFE731. Today, it is one of the world’s largest independent hourly maintenance programs for TFE731 powered aircraft, covering all variants of the TFE731 plus numerous General Electric, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Honeywell and Rolls-Royce engine models. EAP just celebrated the 350th engine/APU enrollment to its program. To view the impressive list of engines types covered by EAP and their corresponding aircraft, click here.

EAP clients have asked for more responsive support in the field, especially when they’re AOG. EAP, known for bringing innovative approaches to engine coverage, works with field technicians to dispatch them with known needed parts in hand as much as possible. In the traditional model of AOG support, technicians are dispatched to assess the situation, which often leads to them ordering parts and then returning a second time to install them. EAP does its best to ensure the technicians have what they need on the first visit, accelerating the aircraft’s return to service.

“All of this ultimately translates into dispatch reliability, which in the end is the most important aspect for the client,” says Sean Lynch, EAP’s managing director. “Our clients maintain a 99.98 percent dispatch reliability rate.”

Adding Engines in Addition to Enhanced Field Service

EAP is marking its tenth anniversary by adding the PW535E/E1, which powers the Phenom 300/300E, and the Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8C, which powers the Gulfstream 450, to its program.

“Clients continue to ask us to cover more engine models and APUs, so we do our best to accommodate them,” adds Lynch. “EAP’s engine maintenance program provides comprehensive coverage and full service, which is of particular benefit to aging aircraft. Now these still highly versatile airframes can stay in service longer and maintain their value.”

EAP Puts it all Together

“Clients are motivated by customer service, pricing and responsiveness. When a client calls, they expect full attention until their situation is resolved, whether it is scheduled or an unscheduled AOG,” says Lynch. “Being on an engine program gives you access to a level of service you can’t obtain otherwise, and our new RAPID TEAM helps to prove it.”
