Startup VIP air charter Magnifica Air has partnered with Aviation Clean Air (ACA) for its onboard air filtration and surface hygiene requirements. The Orlando, Florida-based company is planning to launch commercial services in 2027 with a fleet of four aircraft.
ACA’s patented air and surface ionization-based purification system will now be installed across Magnifica’s fleet. According to ACA, the air filtration system is capable of removing up to 99.9% of airborne and surface pathogens spread through sneezing, coughing, and normal breathing, providing “continuous, chemical-free decontamination throughout the cabin.”
Magnifica Air chief development officer Sean McGeough believes the technology will help provide a “business-jet-like cabin experience” on a bizliner. Last month, Magnifica Air revealed its first Airbus Corporate Jets ACJ321neo in its new livery. The aircraft’s interior is currently undergoing transformation into what Magnifica Air terms a new cabin category—"private class"—somewhere between traditional first-class airline and private travel.
Each of its ACJ321neos will seat 54 passengers, with between two and four private suites onboard. While the ACJ321neo will serve longer routes, A220-300s will be configured for mid-haul routes. Magnifica also promises no overhead storage bins, instead offering “expansive spaces finished with adaptive lighting and hand-crafted seating.”
