Pro Star Aviation has installed the first Starlink satcom system on a Falcon 2000 using the supplemental type certificate (STC) developed by Dassault Falcon Jet. This follows Pro Star’s first Starlink installation on a Falcon 7X in January, which was followed by a second in March.
The Dassault-designed Starlink STC “features a streamlined installation that integrates seamlessly with the aircraft’s structure while preserving its aerodynamic profile,” according to Pro Star.
With increasing demand for high-speed airborne connectivity, Pro Star is adding more Falcon models to its Starlink installation capability. The business aviation maintenance company is headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (KMHT) and has locations in Grand Rapids, Michigan (KGRR) and Portland, Maine (KPWM).
“The design is sleek and elegant, much like the Falcon aircraft itself,” said Jeff Shaw, Pro Star director of sales and marketing. “Because the antenna location and installation architecture are consistent across multiple Falcon platforms, it creates a practical solution for service centers and operators alike.”
