EFA Buys 90% Stake in MRO Provider Superior Air

EFA Group has taken a stake in the MRO, training, and specialized services arena for helicopters and airplanes by acquiring a 90% share of Greece-based Superior Air. Based at Megara General Aviation Airport (LGMG) near Athens, Superior Air serves customers from five bases in Greece and provides MRO, continuous airworthiness management, charter, and pilot training services.

The acquisition will help EFA Group expand its capabilities in the civil sector, adding to EFA’s technical support and upgrade services for military aircraft. The company expects to expand training services in the defense and security sectors as well.

“Our investment in Superior Air is part of our broader strategic plan to strengthen EFA Group’s presence in the aviation and defense sectors, creating an integrated ecosystem of services that covers the full spectrum, from maintenance and support to training and specialized aviation services,” said EFA Group CEO Grigoris Koutsogiannis. “By leveraging Superior Air’s expertise and operational infrastructure, the Group aims to further expand through national and international support contracts, lifecycle management programs, and aviation services in new markets.”
