Content Body

West Star Aviation has hired Kyle Victor as Satellite Manager for its Chicago satellite location. Victor brings more than 15 years of aviation maintenance experience across military manufacturing, commercial airlines, and over a decade in corporate aviation. He spent the last 10 years at Priester Aviation, moving from Maintenance Control to Aviation Maintenance Manager.

Victor earned his A&P, began in military manufacturing, then moved to commercial operations and later to corporate aviation. Having worked for years on the customer side, he understands what operators need from a maintenance provider and plans to put that insight to work every day.

“This role touches many parts of the business,” Victor said. “I look forward to working with sales, customer experience, marketing, and leadership to grow our presence on site and across the Chicago area. Our goal is simple: listen closely, respond quickly, and deliver work that meets the highest standards, so we consistently exceed customer expectations.”

A longtime Chicago-area resident with much of his family nearby, Victor said the move felt natural. “I have worked with West Star Aviation in my past roles and was excited when this position opened. It felt like the right fit.”

Known for a hands-on style, Victor emphasized teamwork, safety, and service. “I roll up my sleeves and jump in with the team. Whatever needs doing, we do it together. Safety is not negotiable, and neither is taking care of our customers.”

“Kyle knows this industry and what our customers expect. He brings a practical approach, strong communication, and a focus on quality,” said Sharon Klose, General Manager, Satellites, who oversees West Star’s satellite locations in Denver, Houston, Minneapolis, Chicago, and Addison.

“At our Chicago facility, we supported more than 400 aircraft last year. We provide 7-day daytime coverage today and will add second-shift coverage soon. We can complete 91.411/413 checks on site at our facility or at the customer’s location, along with 12- and 24-month inspections, engine R&Rs, minor inspections, and pre- and post-flight support. With Kyle in place, we are positioned to serve operators even better every day and evolve into our customer’s needs.”
