Embraer’s Praetor 500E received a trio of certifications from the FAA, EASA, and Brazil’s ANAC, Embraer Executive Jets announced today. The midsize business jet was introduced in February alongside the Praetor 600E as the first evolution of the Praetor family; the super-midsize 600E obtained the same triple certification in April. Deliveries of both of the upgraded jets will begin in 2029.
“The Praetor 500E builds on the strengths of the Praetor platform, a category leader in performance and technology, now enhanced with a next-generation cabin experience,” said Embraer Executive Jets president and CEO Michael Amalfitano. “Achieving triple certification ahead of schedule and on spec is a strong testament to our engineering excellence, enterprise efficiency, and disciplined execution. We remain focused on delivering the ultimate experience to our customers and look forward to continuing the strong market reception the Praetor 500E has already received alongside the Praetor 600E.”
The 500E can fly 3,340 nm with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, enabling nonstop flights from Miami to Seattle and Los Angeles to New York. Features added to the upgraded model include increased payload capability and a redesigned cabin with Embraer-designed seating, new cabin management system, and other comfort, productivity, and connectivity enhancements.
