Bombardier has completed the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the Global 8000 business jet, following on from EPDs previously declared for Bombardier’s other in-production business jets: the Challenger 650 and 3500, and the Global 5500, 6500, and 7500. The company is the only business jet manufacturer to declare the environmental impact in such detail.
Publicly available on the company’s website, each scientifically analyzed EPD outlines the environmental footprint—including carbon dioxide emissions—associated with each stage of the aircraft’s life, from raw material extraction through manufacture to end-of-life.
The creation and publication of the declarations is a key part of Bombardier’s sustainability strategy. As well as providing full transparency into environmental impact, they also provide a valuable tool for determining responsible choices and identifying where improvements can be made throughout the aircraft's full life cycle.
