European MRO Provider Prince Aviation, which specializes in Cessna Citation business jets, recently completed a milestone task by performing a complete engine swap on four Citation XLS+s in just five days. All eight Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545C engines among the four twinjets were replaced as part of scheduled overhaul work.
According to the Serbia-based company, engine replacement is a critical task that demands the involvement of experienced mechanics who must carry out an independent inspection of each engine installation and its systems. To achieve this assignment, 24 technicians worked directly on the aircraft each day, supported by the company’s planning, logistics, technical administration, and maintenance organization teams—more than 30 people in total.
“We are proud that we are one of only a few MROs across Europe that are capable of pulling off such complicated maintenance operations in such a short time,” said Prince Aviation COO Djordje Petrovic. He added that the work, done in parallel on four aircraft, required meticulous organization, tool and parts preparation, coordination of personnel, and strict adherence to every procedure.
“This project reflects exactly what Prince Aviation stands for: the people, the expertise, and the operational capacity to deliver demanding work—reliably and on time,” Petrovic noted.
