Landing gear overhauls require precision, experience and attention to every component.
In this video, Mark Tillotson, Landing Gear Technician III, takes us inside the process as the DAS Aviation team addresses corrosion found on a Bombardier Challenger 300 landing gear assembly.
The process includes removing and fully disassembling the landing gear, inspecting structural components for wear, corrosion, cracks and damage, replacing corroded, life-limited and worn parts, servicing hydraulic and mechanical systems, applying protective finishes, and reassembling the gear to manufacturer specifications.
