P&WC Bridgeport Wins $1B T-6 Engine Overhaul Contract

Pratt & Whitney Canada received a nine-year, $1 billion contract to overhaul more than 750 PT6A-68 engines powering the U.S. Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) T-6 fleet.

V2X awarded the work under its T-6 Contractor Operated and Maintenance Base Supply contract, continuing a longstanding relationship with Pratt & Whitney for support of the turboprop trainers.

Pratt & Whitney Canada’s facility in Bridgeport, West Virginia, has maintained PT6A engines for more than four decades. The new contract marks the location’s second engine refurbishment award for the U.S. government.
