More than 500 general aviation employees, 50 state and local officials and several industry leaders gathered at the Air10 Jet Center at Lunken Airport last month for the Ohio General Aviation Forum. The event was organized by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) and featured remarks by Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Reps. Steve Driehaus (D-Ohio) and Jean Schmidt (R-Ohio), who all recognized general aviation’s more than $5.5 billion contribution to the state’s economy. As one of the leading GA manufacturing centers in the U.S., this region is also the source of thousands of jobs, GAMA said.
