Tiger Tugs Expands Range to MD 500 Series

Oregon-based helicopter ground movement specialist Tiger Tugs is here at Heli-Expo to show off its latest tug, designed specifically to handle the MD Helicopters 500 series, which due to its springy support struts has in the past made ground movement problematic. The new scissor lift transport on display at the Oregon-based company’s booth utilizes a dense neoprene rubber-coated support saddle molded to match the rotorcraft’s contours, which lifts it from its belly, avoiding the skids and struts entirely. The unit features a wireless remote control allowing for precise maneuvering in tight spaces.
