Lynn Bamford, senior v-p and general manager of Curtiss-Wright’s defense solutions division, said, "We believe this follow-on to a multi-year contract indicates Sikorsy’s confidence in and satisfaction with our cost-effective advanced rotorcraft technologies.”
Meanwhile, Curtiss-Wright expanded its rugged video gateway family with the new RVG-FC1, a video format converter. The technology is a compact unit that weights 2.4 pounds (1.1 kg) and can easily fit into confined cockpits and other helicopter and ground vehicle interiors. The RVG-FC1 supports 15 of the most common video formats and resolutions, such as SMPTE 259M (SD-SDI), PAL CVBS (ITU-R BT.1700), and SVGA (1280x1024).
