Mid-Continent to Distribute StartStick Units

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics (Booth C4239) has inked an agreement with Aviation Battery Systems to distribute the company’s StartStick and StartStick Fleet ground power units and accessories. The latter company's in-flight rechargeable ground power units offer 10-amp-hour and 14-amp-hour power supplies. With a cable-less design and multifunctional display, the units come in a red polymer case that is chemical, water, and impact resistant.

“This partnership will bring together Aviation Battery System’s innovative StartStick product line with Mid-Continent’s world-class knowledge, distribution and support,” said Todd Petersen, CEO of Aviation Battery Systems.

Engineered with Nanophosphate lithium-ion cell chemistry, the StartStick provides three to four starts per charge. Mid-Continent’s True Blue Power product line uses this technology to provide smaller, lighter devices that are less than half the weight and size of existing products. The StartStick is the world’s first stowable and in-flight rechargeable emergency start battery.
